Candidate for
Council Member; City of Pleasant Hill

I love Pleasant Hill! That's why I am seeking the open seat on the City Council. I moved here in 1965, attended Gregory Gardens and Valley View, graduated from College Park and earned an AA degree at Diablo Valley College. I went on to earn a BS from CSUEB.

This friendly, family-oriented community has a strong and vital downtown. But these are difficult economic times, and continued strong leadership is required to ensure both businesses and citizens are able to prosper + both financially and in our quality of life.

I offer that strong leadership. My vision over the next four years is ensuring a robust economic environment for business, maximizing sales tax revenue, adding needed police services, and preserving Pleasant Hill's family-oriented quality of life.

My experience: Director, Pleasant Hill Recreation and Park District; Member, Pleasant Hill Planning Commission as the City finalized the Downtown Plan; and Member, Pleasant Hill Citizens' Advisory Committee on Redevelopment.
