I have been active in the community for more than two decade initially following years of little league, ballet and school related events. Three years ago I was appointed to the Investment Review committee. Since then, I have increased transparency with reports that are now made available for review ahead of committee meetings. Transaction details are now included in every report. Bond buy and sell transactions are now identified and discussed.

From 2001-2005, I served on the first Economic Development Commission and sought to bring business to Antioch. Along with the City Manager, I met with business owners to insure that City government was working with them. This Commission recommended an incentive proposals that succeeded to persuade Macy department store to become the new 'anchor' store at Sommersville Town Centre and supported renovation funding of the El Campinal Theatre. A marketing effort to attract a new restaurant into the `Rivertown` area, accomplished the upscale restaurant "Bases Loaded" soon opening at the corner of 4th and 'G' Sts. I have also worked on several projects alongside Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Dev Lamphere and her predecessor.

I've raised my family here in Antioch with my wife, Marcella during the past 25 years. My son Roberto, was part of the first graduating class for Deer Valley High School in 1999. He then obtained his Master Degree in International Journalism from University of Miami. My daughter Nicole, followed her graduation with 4 years of military service, including an assignment in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Marcella has been a career flight attendant, despite having lost a United Airline crew member and friend in the Twin Tower terrorist attack and more recently another U.A. friend in the Nunn-Wilson plane tragedy. Following my military service, college degree and a work with the federal government, I worked in the financial services industry for 26 years. I acquired state and federal licenses along with annual curriculum to guide my advisory and fiduciary work with the public. Upon retirement from that career, I have returned to Federal government service part-time along with community work.
