Schools Community Services and Programs for all Ages

Enhance our public school needs, community services and programs for all ages
Education is always been one of my top priorities. As a member of the city council, I was instrumental in the creation of the Ad Hoc committee to address the needs for better school facilities, new schools and education offering for the children of our commnunity. The result of the Ad hoc was the creation of the Education Commission for the City of Hercules. I can say that we now have a better relationship with the school districts, a new Lupine Elementary, enhancement of the Hercules Middle and High School and now the building of the new Ohlone Elementary School.

We did not stop there. We continue to work with the school board, the superintendent, our four school principals to make sure that our children are provided with the best educational offering in a safe environment in order to prepare them for a higher education opportunities.

Community services and programs for all ages is a must for our city. We have a growing population of 55 plus and over at the same time young kids and teen agers are also growing. We partnered with the school district in providing multiple after school programs at the school site and at the Hercules Teen Center. We will continue to mail our city's publication where the different programs for all ages are listed. I encourage you to visit our city's website to learn more about our city programs.
