This information is provided by the candidate

I am a candidate for City Council because Albany needs open, responsive government. During 8 years on the Council and 16 ½ years on the School Board, I had a record of listening carefully before making important decisions. During my two terms as Mayor and four as School Board President, I made sure every person wishing to speak had that opportunity. I will continue to seek citizen involvement.

I have a proven record as an effective and responsible representative of Albany's citizens. I am committed to working to maintain Albany's small-town character, which affects the quality of life of residents and is important for Albany's future. We must ensure that infrastructure needs are met, good decisions about land use, including open and recreational space, and development are made, and that the zoning code protects current residents.
