We have been paying for BART for 50 years. Now with the explosion of growth in our region, we need BART to provide the service we were promised.

I worked hard as an elected official to help bring BART to the Castro Valley and Dublin/Pleasanton. Now I'm running for the BART Board to get things moving again.

First and formost, BART must build its promised extensions. Our community wants BART to Livermore and Warm Springs. The BART extension will help cut traffic on I-580, relieve congestion at the 680/580 intersection, improve air quality, and ease the parking crunch at other stations.

Second, BART must become a cleaner and a safer system, inside and out, on the trains and in the stations and parking lots. There should be enough parking for all riders.

I look forward to the challenge of being your representative on BART and giving our area the attention it deserves. Please join me - together we can work for a better BART.
