Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Kevin Leeseberg

Candidate for
State Senator; District 7; Democratic Party

This information is provided by the candidate

Sēnsus Commūnis. Literal Latin translation: Common feelings of humanity. My political philosophy is of just that: rational, common sense government. I am running for State Senate because I feel this philosophy is lacking in our legislature. Regardless of Party, we have all felt the ineffective results of partisan politics. As a moderate Democrat and former Republican, I am able to work with both parties, setting aside partisan rank and file politics. With over 10 years of international business experience and traveling to all seven continents, while representing my company to approximately 25% of the world's countries, I bring a much needed perspective of how Missouri fits into our global economy. With past Regulatory & Compliance experience, I know the unintended consequences and cost of haphazard legislation. As a fiscal conservative and former Operations Director in a publicly traded company, I have the experience in making tough decisions in a tough economy. I also present the experience of working with the Department of Homeland Security for six years, conducting security and risk assessments worldwide and developing Emergency Response plans under the National Incident Management System. Valuing diversity, I am approachable and someone you can talk to, but above all else, I'm someone who listens.
