1. What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit)

Answer from Steve Gaw:
I have a record of bringing real change on key issues. As Speaker of the House, I advanced domestically produced fuels. That proves I can work with both parties to lower the price of fuel for Missourians. I also have a record of expanding healthcare coverage and veterans benefits.
Answer from Ken Jacob:
I served as a school board member, state representative and state senator. During my last term, I was the Democratic Leader in the Senate. I passed legislation to end the sales tax on food, enacted a middle class tax cut and authored the largest scholarship bill in Missouri history.

Lyndon Bode is currently serving his 14th year as Marion County Presiding Commissioner. He is 44 years old, married and has two young daughters. They live in rural Marion County near the small town of West Ely.

2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (50 word limit)

Answer from Judy Baker:
I have always been a strong advocate for education and health-care access, and have sponsored and supported legislation to improve the lives and future of Missouri's children. My defense priorities include a refocus on diplomacy. As the US reduces its presence in Iraq, we must move towards more strategic intelligence
Answer from Lyndon Bode:
Our campaign theme is "Rebuild America". A plan to bring federal tax dollars back into the local economy to rebuild our public infrustructure. Therefore reinvesting our tax dollars back into our national economy and creating more American jobs.
Answer from Steve Gaw:
We must change the priorities in Washington. I'll continue advancing domestically produced fuels so we aren't relying on foreign oil that makes expensive gas. I'll reduce dependence on foreign debt and trade as well. I'll work for cheaper healthcare for all Americans and better care for veterans in particular.
Answer from Ken Jacob:
I will go to work in Washington. I'll use the same energy and passion that I exhibited in the Missouri Legislature and fight for the issues important to Missouri. I am the most experienced and accomplished candidate running for the 9th district. I'll take that experience and fight for Missouri.
