Shall the Board of Alderman of the City of Pevely be authorized to levy a tax of note more than ($.38) thirty-eight cents per ($100.00) One Hundred Dollar assessed valuation, for a term not to exceed twenty (20) years, said revenue to be held in a special fund, and to be used exclusively for the retirement pension fund program for the benefit of employees of the city of Pevely, Missouri?

League of Women Voters of Saint Louis

  • If passed, this measure would allow the 41 employees of the City of Pevely to join the Missouri Local Government Employee Retirement System, which has provided pensions for surrounding communities and Jefferson County since 1967. This measure would provide matching funds for their pensions and result in a tax increase for property owners.
