Shall the Shady Valley Fire Protection District and the Springdale Fire Protection District be consolidated into one fire protection district, to be known as the Saline Valley Fire Protection District, and to levy a tax of One Dollar Twenty One Cents ($1.21) on the per One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) assessed valuation for the general tax, Nine Cents ($.09) per One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) assessed valuation for the pension tax, Four Cents ($.04) per One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) assessed valuation for the dispatching tax, and Fifteen Cents ($.15) per One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) assessed valuation for the current outstanding bonds?

  • If passed, the Shady Valley and Springdale Fire Protection District Questions will result in the consolidation of these two districts that has been in process for the last five years. Increased facilities, equipment, coverage hours and personnel will result. Property tax will increase ($.10) Ten Cents for Shady Valley District residents and will decrease ($.02) Two Cents for Springdale District residents for each ($100.00) One Hundred Dollars of assessed value.
