Age: 48

A teacher since 1989 and School Board Trustee in the Oxnard School District, Denis O'Leary has worked hard to strengthen our community.

Poor drainage, street lighting, unpaved streets and septic tanks leaking into our ground water have held the greater Oxnard area and Fifth District behind what most in Ventura County enjoy as an expected standard of living.

Denis O'Leary believes that we can do better. We can provide the services that will make our Fifth District safer. We can provide for our community in an environment that does not burden the family with unmet problems from unchecked growth.

The 1 percent wharf maintenance tax must stay in our harbor. Our harbor has sat ideal for too long, Denis believes that his new vision will bring a life to our coastal community and provide for a better standard of living for our families.

The 12 County Human Resource offices must be consolidated to save wasted tax dollars. Denis O'Leary will work with the fellow members of the Board of Supervisors to bring improvements to our neighborhoods.

Denis O'Leary will cooperate with our families, elected officials and service providers to bring positive leadership to our Fifth District.

It can be done.
