I have spent 30 years in Africa and the Middle East as a USAID Foreign Service Officer and a private businessman. I speak fluent Arabic, Portuguese, and several African languages. Below are some of my accomplishments:

1. I introduced the Las Vegas style gambling industry to Southern Africa in the 1970s. This was intended to be a liberating force but had mixed results.

2. I assisted a famous interracial and gay couple to attempt to escape South Africa in the 1970s. This had mixed results.

3. An Internal Auditor, I installed internal control systems in Saudi Arabian Air Force hospitals in the 1970s.

4. I worked as Internal Audit Manager of the KKMC or King Kalid Military City in eastern Saudi Arabia. This base became useful in the first Gulf War.

5. I was a major manager of the Yambu industrial city project in Saudi Arabia.

6. I was a manager of World Vision Mozambique in the countrywide peace process in 1993-95. The first successful free elections occurred in 1995.

7. I assisted black owned start-up businesses for several years in South Africa after the end of apartheid.

8. I wrote and installed the CPA professional public accounting certification for Angola in 2007.

9. I implemented Non-Federal Audit program in the US State Department in the 1990s where financial audits were farmed out to CPA firms.

10. I implemented GAS or government audit standards over government audits in the 1990s. These standards were a forerunner of Sarbanes Auxley.
