ECONOMICS

As a long time business owner, I understand CALIFORNIA DOES NOT have a REVENUE PROBLEM - CALIFORNIA HAS A SPENDING PROBLEM- WE currently HAVE A 14 BILLION DOLLAR budget DEFICIT. If elected, I will support The Governors stance on SMALLER GOVERNMENT. I have the courage to make the tough, but necessary decisions to reduce spending to save our state from a financial meltdown - WE CAN BALANCE THE STATE BUDGET WITHOUT INCREASING TAXES - I WILL PROTECT PROPOSITION 13 and work to reduce regulation on small business.

HEALTH CARE

As a Former medical Clinic Owner, I know SOCIALIZED MEDICINE is NOT the answer - Only a CONSUMER-BASED SYSTEM will succeed. We need to reform the current system and give control of health care dollars to individuals and families. I will work for PORTABILITY OF COVERAGE, with an increased focus on preventive care.

EDUCATION

As a former teacher, I understand we must break the monopoly of government education and establish parental control and education choice. We need to focus on the promotion of critical thinking skills. I support spending our tax dollars on the class room and teachers, not on multiple layers of administration

OTHER ISSUES We must work to Stop Lawsuit abuse. We need to enact immigration laws, such as Arizona HB 2779, which would suspend business licenses for businesses that hire undocumented workers
