On the June 3rd primary ballot you will find the designation "Human Resources Executive" below my name. For 33 years I have been professionally trained and a practicing leader in Total Rewards and related Human Resources management.

I am a Westerner, born and raised in Oregon and California.

My education background encompasses approximately six and one half years of undergraduate work though several universities with extensive studies in Political Science, East Asian Studies and concluding with a degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing.

I am a three year veteran of the U.S. Army including a one year tour of duty in the Republic of Viet Nam.

As a corporate executive I have done business in 26 countries including head of a major international human resources management consulting company for 7 years in Tokyo, Japan.

My wife of 37 years is the mother of our four children. She is a Japanese national and a legal, green card holding U.S. resident.

Key issues include:

  • The U.S. Economy & Environment:

o Make permanent the current income tax rates to continue relief to the lower middle class taxpayer

o Re-prioritize federal spending on infrastructure (freeways, bridges, public transit, schools, fresh water and waste water treatment) to enhance quality of life, the environment and create productive domestic employment

o Promote clean and efficient nuclear power and enhance the U.S. power grid

  • Immigration:

o Control the borders both north and south o Implement a temporary worker program with safeguards o No preference for illegal immigrants over those who are following immigration laws o Withhold funds to "sanctuary cities" that harbor illegal immigrants contrary to Federal immigration statutes

  • Social Security + Medicare + Medicaid o Design, Finance and administration reform to put these programs on a permanent path to fairness and solvency.
