David Peters has lived in Hemet for 37 years. He graduated kindergarten, 8th grade, and 12th grade from Sunday school at First Baptist Church. He graduated from Hemet High School in 1984.

David enrolled at Mount San Jacinto College, and transferred to California State University, San Bernardino earning both a degree in mathematics and a single subject teaching credential.

David student taught at Monte Vista Middle School in San Jacinto and Hemet High School. He has taught for 15 years, the last 12 years at Perris High School.

In 2004, David was elected to the Hemet Unified School District board of trustees.

David's future plans are to be a representive for the people of his community.
