I'm Kelly McCarty. I'm not a politician. I'm a business woman that is a candidate for the Assembly. Politics is not where I am planning to spend my life.

For the past two decades I've been working in the male-dominated auto body industry. My family and running my business have been my passion. I employ 16 people and deal with payroll, workers compensation insurance, state regulations, and customer service every single day. Previously, I served as President of the California Auto Body Association.

Here are the things that my family and life experience tell me -

Illegal Immigration

Illegal immigrants are criminals. They do not deserve tuition reductions, drivers' licenses, or any public benefits at all.

Public Safety

Our families need to feel safe. That depends on a law and order system that locks gang members up. I am sick of hearing about gang members shooting innocent citizens.

Pro-business A strong economy that allows business to thrive takes care of many of the social problems Democrats complain about. A strong economy means more jobs, more tax revenue, and fewer social problems.

Stop "Nanny" government We don't need Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez telling us how to raise our families, what food to eat, or what cars to drive. He needs to work on his own family and leave mine alone. I am opposed to the Nanny government that is developing in California.

Taxes

Finally + we all pay too much in taxes. Way too much. I will not vote to raise taxes. Ever. Sacramento does not have a revenue problem. Sacramento has a spending problem. I intend to look closely at their spending and tell people what I am willing to cut.

I am not running for the Assembly to just vote No. I'm running for the Assembly to be a passionate and articulate advocate for the families and businesses in Riverside County. Clearly the Democrats in Sacramento will not like me. I have run the kind of business they seem so eager to destroy.

If you want someone to talk about political theory + don't vote for me. This is not about theory for me. This is real life for me. These are the kind of experiences that are missing in Sacramento and what I will be providing as I represent you in the Assembly.
