Rebecca "Becky" Maze, Candidate, 34th Assembly District  Becky Maze, wife of Assemblyman Bill Maze, is dedicated to continuing her husband's commitment to the 34th Assembly District. She shares the same ideals, political philosophy, and integrity as Bill. Becky is looking forward to the opportunity to serve the constituency of Tulare, Kern, Inyo, and San Bernadino Counties and build on the legacy that Bill has established during his terms as your State Assemblyman. She is passionate about continuing to improve the State's foster care system working in a bipartisan manner in the legislature.   Resolving critical water issues in California is essential and can only be accomplished via a comprehensive fix.  She realizes that if the State does not address water storage capacity and conveyance of water around the Delta, many Californians may face mandatory water rationing, higher water costs for consumers and farmers, and most importantly the agriculture industry would be forced to reduce crop production affecting much of our food supply.

As your District Representative, Becky will address other priorities that are essential for a healthy economy in the State, namely lower taxes, fewer laws, less burdensome regulations, encouraging economic growth, and smaller government.  Public safety and investing resources in early childhood programs for prevention gang and criminal activities in conjunction with a strong education system must be a new direction.

Becky is a member of the Visalia Republican Women and serves as a voting delegate to the California Republican Party and the Republican Assembly. This experience along with the many miles traveled meeting people and attending meetings all over the district as well as in Sacramento, has served as a platform to form relationships with constituents, industry managers, legislators, and lobbyists and has enabled her to acquire extensive knowledge of the critical issues facing California and the 34th Assembly District.

Additionally, Becky has served for seven years on the board of directors for The Grace Homes, a non-profit agency involved in residential care, education, and rehabilitation of wayward adolescent girls. Becky is passionate about this agency's goal of encouraging young women to be self-sufficient and ultimately become capable mothers with healthy children.

As a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Becky possesses a Bachelor of Science Degree. While a college student she married Bill, her husband of 41years. After several moves with college, military service, and work in Sacramento, the couple settled in Visalia and raised five children.  They now have four grandchildren. Becky worked in Tacoma, Washington and Visalia as an elementary and high school substitute teacher for eleven years. She has been the office manager and bookkeeper for Maze Ranch and  Maze Construction for over 15 years. The balance of her employment history was spent working at the Visalia City Library and at the College of the Sequoias as an accounting technician.

In 1992, Becky began doing the fundraising for her husband's political races and subsequently, she established her own consulting firm of RBM Services assisting political candidates with campaign management, fund raising, media relations, marketing, and advertising.

The Maze family are members of the First Assembly of God Church in Visalia and many of Becky's activities have revolved around their church and numerous community services. She served as the Chapter President and Regional Board Member of Women's Aglow International, was Charter President of Visalia Fellowship of Business Women, and was Director of Women's Ministries. She has taken courses in Biblical Counseling thru Global University and Trinity Life Bible College.
