SUPPORTER 1

My name is Lillie Houston and I am the owner of Houston Insurance Agency. For 23 years I have been involved in selling all types of insurance products and providing services to all races and classes of people. Most of my clients are ecstatic about Mrs. Gilbert's candidacy for the 43rd Congressional District.

Since Mrs. Joanne Gilbert's election to the Rialto School Board and her announcement for candidacy for congress, many of my clients have uplifting stories of how Mrs. Gilbert personally helped their child either do better on exams or search for scholarship. Her dedication to her constituents is unwavering and worthy of notation.

To have someone of such caliber, who assists all people regardless of their similarities or lack thereof to her life style is truly inspirational. Mrs. Gilbert is a mother and a grandmother and has been married for many years, but she assists all children regardless of whether they live in a one or two parent household. Mrs. Gilbert is an African American Woman, but she assists all people within her domain of control regardless of their heritage. Mrs. Gilbert and her husband have very successful careers as an educator and a police officer respectively, but she is just as passionate about helping the underprivileged better their lives as much as she supports the growth of business and economic opportunity for all.

I consider myself to be very fortunate to know such a person as Mrs. Gilbert who has dedicated her life to making our society better as a whole. Now we have the opportunity to place her in a position to utilize her passion for progress on a larger federal scale, which could benefit the 43rd district just as Rialto School District has benefited from her dedication to public service. Join me and vote GILBERT. I, Lillie Houston, pledge my vote to Mrs. Joanne Gilbert.

SUPPORTER 2

Dear Editor, I am Rebekah Lopez, a retired probation officer from Los Angeles County. I currently live in San Bernardino. I have personally witnessed the workings of Mrs. Gilbert and her family.

The work they do to find foster children homes in which to live and their commitment to keeping children from opting to a life of crime is simply extraordinary. Her and her family has personally worked with the police department and probation department to find alternative solutions for children on the borderline to becoming a criminal.

To the credit of Mrs. Gilbert, I believe we have a lot less crime due to her actions because instead of being on the streets, the kids she helped have jobs, which can support their families or in college earning a credible degree.

Thank you Mrs. Gilbert for all you have done and especially for making my city a safer place to live.
