My name is Lupe Moreno. I am 50 years old. I have lived in Santa Ana since 1968. I raised my sister, two brothers, my five children and now am helping to raise grand children.

I have worked for the County of Orange for 24 years. I worked for the Health Care Agency for 24 years. I had worked for different programs including. Family Planning, Pregnancy Testing, Prenatal Care, Sick Baby Clinic, Immunization Clinics and WIC. I was also the operator for the Health Department for over five years. My last job there was as Office Specialist /Hepatitis B Case Management/Immunizations Specialist.

I worked for the Social Service Agency last year as an Intake Eligibility Technician providing Food Stamps to clients in need. I am now working for California Children's Services.

I believe that people need to get involved to keep our communities going. So I do a lot of volunteering. The following are just some of the things I have volunteered for. American Cancer Society Executive Broad for the Santa Ana Relay for Life, Activist Against Gang Violence, Carl Harvey School/Special Education, Centennial Education Center/Santa Ana College, Santa Ana College/Annual Hispanic Veterans Day Event, Santa Ana Woman's Republican Club/ Citizenship Swearing in Ceremony, Cano Head-Start, Santa Ana Unified School District Schools (Volunteered for the following schools; Lowell Elementary, Willard Elementary, Santa Ana High School, Mountain View Continuation & Teen Mothers), Presidential Visits, Registrar of Voters County of Orange, Health Fairs, County Fair & Speaker. My whole family helps me out once a year with the American Cancer Society Santa Ana Relay for Life. We have a team called "Standing in the Gap."

I have testified for Senator Bill Morrow/Social Security Numbers, Senator Tom McClintock/No tuition for illegal aliens, Assemblyman Bill Emerson/No tuition for illegal aliens.

I have run for public office: Santa Ana School Board, State Senate 34 district and Orange County Board of Supervisors

I have been to Washington D.C and Sacramento numerous times to lobby.

I have been featured on ABC, CBS, NBC BBC news, CNN (Lou Dobbs), numerous Spanish articles and news programs, numerous radio shows "John & Ken". One of 5 people featured in documentary "Border War".

I have been featured in numerous newspaper articles. Including New American, Los Angeles Times, Orange County Register, OC Weekly. I am mentioned in three books "Fighting Immigration Anarchy" "Kill Your Teacher" and "Minutemen"
