Candidate for
Member, Democratic Party County Central Committee; County of Los Angeles; Assembly District 47

My name is Benjamin Arnon and I seek your vote for the LA County Central Committee. I have served as the volunteer Regional Field Organizer for the Barack Obama Presidential campaign for both Maxine Waters' and Jane Harman's Congressional Districts. As a result of my mobilization of the Precinct Captains and grassroots activists in my Congressional District, I was awarded a pledged delegate slot for Barack Obama. I am honored to represent my district on behalf of Senator Obama at the Democratic National Convention this August.

As a Regional Field Organizer with the Obama campaign, I have strived to mobilize young activists and to encourage these young leaders to become democratically engaged and politically active.

I fostered mentor programs with both Venice High School and Jordan High School in which students were partnered with adult community activists who taught the students community organizing skills such as phone banking and canvassing.

My goal as an LA County Central Committee member will be to continue to engage young Democratic activists and to mobilize them to action.
