~A Conservative Constitutional Republican~

Any Republican's platform and any true conservative's philosophy should be based upon limiting the roll of big-government.

There's a fragile balance between government and liberty. When government expands, liberty usually retracts. Government is force and at times, can present numerous opportunities for abuse. The founders were well aware of this and took necessary measures to guard against the misuse of power by government and its officials. The founding fathers created a special place for government; it is called the Constitution. Our Constitution is the supreme law of the land and it is how, we as a people define our system of government. The purpose of the Constitution is to outline the limited and specific roll of government and protect the individual liberties of the people.

Today, our standing in the world is not what it once was. Our nation is in financial debt and we must borrow money from other countries to fund our overseas commitments around the globe. Didn't the founders warn us about, "entangling alliances" with foreign countries? Domestically, spending is out of control and taxes are too high. Food and gasoline prices continue to rise while the purchasing power of the dollar falls to new lows. The Federal Reserve prints money out of thin air, inflating our money supply and loans each dollar to the U.S. with interest. Didn't the founders stress the negitive impacts of a Central Bank? Our Constitution has been reduced to a fading memory and is viewed more as a hindrance to government action as opposed to its guide. Many of the problems that we face today, as a nation, are a direct result of our government's lack of respect for the "rule of law" and of the Constitution.

The majority of our country's problems can be mitigated by correcting the errors of our ways and electing representatives that will protect and defend the Constitution as their sworn, Oath of Office requires. Without an aroused and informed public, participating in open-debate and using healthy political criticism to bring about necessary changes... No Republic can survive! There is very little value in ensuring the survival of our nation, if our American traditions do not survive with it. The time has come, and the time is now. The Republican Party must act. We all must work to reinstate constitutional standards in government from the local level, right on up!

By holding true to our conservative Republican principles, "We the People" will restore the republic in 2008!
