Public Safety: recruiting and keeping a strong, dedicated and trustworthy police force, building capacity for a restorative justice system in Oakland and developing a West Oakland Youth Center in the new building we purchased at Brockhurst and Market Street.

Sustainable Development: attracting downtown retail, developing the Army Base, attracting industry to West Oakland, assuring there is housing that meets the needs of all our residents, and improving Adult Literacy services and programs; and last but not least

Beautification and Infrastructure: fulfilling the community's Measure DD vision of finalizing the Lake Merritt projects, bringing new green space to Jack London, better managing and maintaining the wonderful existing parks we are so fortunate to have in District 3, supporting public art, and expanding funding to public infrastructure (streets, sidewalks, storm drains, etc.)
