Chris Moore, a Bay Area native and Pleasanton resident for two decades, has a long history of public service. He is a veteran law enforcement officer, currently serving as Deputy Chief of Police with the San Jose Police Department.

Chris served on the Zone 7 Water Board in 2006 after being chosen by the Board to fill a vacancy. Moore's primary concern on the Board was ensuring a safe, reliable water supply for the Tri-Valley.

Chris earned a J.D. from Lincoln Law School of San Jose with a concentration in Environmental Law. He is a member of the State Bar of California. He also studied at the University of California, Berkeley and at San Jose State University, earning a Bachelors degree in Social Science and a Masters in Public Administration.

In 1999, Chris was honored with a White House Fellowship where he served as counsel to Attorney General Janet Reno. Winning a Fulbright Police Research Fellowship, he also studied at the London School of Economics.

Chris lives in Pleasanton with his wife Mary and daughter Linden. Chris is running for the Zone 7 Water Board to focus attention on the needs of the Valley in improved water reliability, effective flood control management, and Delta issues. He is an accomplished leader who will be an effective advocate for the Tri-Valley on water issues.
