A lifelong Hayward resident, Linda Bennett is a marriage and family therapist working extensively with children, teenagers, and their families to help them overcome drug and alcohol dependencies and other problems.

Linda's deep involvement in our community, both on a volunteer and a professional basis, spans groups as different as the Red Cross, Girls Incorporated, the League of Women Voters + where she served as Eden Area President + and the National Women's Political Caucus. She's also worked in our schools as a tutor, reading instructor, and teacher's aide.

Her commitment to preserving our environment led Linda to leadership positions in the Friends of San Lorenzo Creek and on Alameda County's San Lorenzo Creek Watershed Task Force. She also served as a Hayward Planning Commissioner for eight years and now chairs the city's Library Commission. Linda is a strong neighborhood advocate who knows how local government works.

Linda Bennett has the experience and the dedication to make a difference on the Hayward City Council.
