Promote incentives for Private Energy Alternatives

By Billy A. "Bill" Reed

Candidate for State Representative; District 130; Republican Party

This information is provided by the candidate
Energy independence among other things was of key importance to the Founders of this great country.
A self sustaining economy was of ultimate importance to our Founding Fathers. It was the backbone of our independence not only from England but possible intruders. Todays technology can provide many homeowners with energy independence. It could be solar, or wind generation, or a combination of them, and others yet to be perfected.

All the surrounding States have incentives in place for private alternative energy creation. Each self suffient private home would reduce a cost of living expense to themselves while reducing demand upon the electrical grid. Summer brown outs could be a thing of the past and reduce demand on non renewable oil and gas products. If we can clean up nuclear waste I would support its inclusion for electric generating corporations.

I also would support and promote organic farming and gardening, not demand it by legislation. To be truly Organic requires extensive record keeping and in my mind some unreasonable measures. I do believe that voluntary measures will become more the practice in the near future.
