I was born in Philadelphia, at Temple Hospital in 1962. I lived in many different neighborhoods in my life such as Olney (Mascher & Roosevelt Boulevard) and lower northeast (Somerset & Rossevelt Boulevard). I have no formal education. I was home schooled and thereafter self taught. I read to educate myself not for entertainment. I continue to read four newspapers a day, a couple of magazines a week including The New Yorker and at least four books a year. The last two books I read were Freedomnomics and Super Crunchers. I am currently reading The Age of Turbulence. My interest are economics, politics and the founding fathers. My work also requires much technical reading. I have resided in south Philadelphia since 1986. I am single.

In 1978 I began work part time fabricating fire protection sprinkler pipe. In 1981 I began full time employment in the design of fire proctection. In 1991 I went into business for my self designing, fabricating and installing water based fire protection spinkler systems. In the 90's I lobbied the General Assembly to adopt a building code for the Commonwealth. In 1999 I lobbied the General Assembly for amendments to the Election Code.
