I beleive in reforming the method that the state funds Public Education and Public Education.

I believe that every Pennsylvanian who can afford health care should have an opportunity to provide their family affordable and accessible Health Care by the state providing incentives for Insurance Companies to compete in the market place, provide tax credits incentives to small employers to obtain health care coverage for their employees and for individuals, respectively.

I believe that every Pennsylvania family that cannot afford the cost of health care should be able to purchase a policy through the Adult Basic or Chip Programs with enough funding to eliminate long waiting lists.

I believe the the State of Pennsylvania should be smoke free except for clubs. A club's smoke free status should be determined by their Board of Management through their members. Small taverns where their businesses depends mostly from alcoholic beverages with a minimum in the distribution of food should be exempted.

I believe that the state do all it can to discourage cigarette smoking. Insurance Companies should provide incentives like reducing premiums for Pennsylvanians who participate in Wellness Programs.

I believe tht the state's Pysician Abatement Pogram should continue indefinite so that doctors and future doctors will remain in Pennsylvania.

I believe that the state should continue to provide funding to the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) and The Department of Environment Resources (DER)to encourage and assist in the development and revitalization of Communities and small businesses located in Townships and Boroughs.

In Insurance and Health Care I have either sponsored or cosponsored bills that were enacted into law, namely, reform of that Cat Fund to lowere Health Providers premiums for liability insurance, Elination of Venue Shopping, Perodic Payments of Fudture Medical Expenses,Free Breast and Cervical Screening for underimbursed and uninsured women. Creation of Adult Basic Program for the working poor, Creation of PACE NET Program and subseuent expansions the income cap for both PACE and PACE Net, the CHIP Program and subsequent expansion in 1998,1999, and 2006,Providing funding for the Physician Abatement Program keep doctors here in Pa.,Maternity Care Bill Mandating Length-Of-Stay more than 48 hours, etc.
