The Pennsylvania government is a representative democracy, which means that we ideally elect representatives who take our voices to Harrisburg to run the government. The problem now is that somehow the people became shut out of the process. The representatives that we elect take their own voices to Harrisburg. There is no communication between the people and their representative.

Communication is a two-way street. A representative must listen to his constituents and carry that voice to Harrisburg. He must also inform his constituents of what is happening in Harrisburg. Have you ever been asked by your representative what you think about an issue? Has your representative ever asked how you would vote?

If elected, I would immediately institute "Town Hall Meetings". At these meetings there would be a genuine discussion of issues. I would listen to your concerns, discuss solutions, and take your voice to Harrisburg. I would then discuss the current happenings of the legislature and ask for input on the issues. A representative must vote how his district would vote and not how how special interest money tells him to vote.

Without two-way communication, there cannot be representation. I will always listen to your concerns.
