Whittier is enhancing safety.
Whittier crime rates continue to be low. We've added police officers and begun the process of building a new police station with modern facilities to provide the kind of protection our citizens deserve. We've taken important steps to ensure a clean water supply and instituted the Safe Route to School sidewalk program for our kids. Last year I successfully led the fight to protect our homes and families from dangerous fireworks, and I will fight to prevent the state from building a prison in our community.
