Questions & Answers

1. What is your position on Measure A?

Senior citizens need a senior center desperately. They have been promised locations only to have them taken away later; ie. Prairie Center, Civic Center. The monies provided by Measure A would address this need. The only proplem I have with Measure A is that there is no cap. It's like having a limitless checkbook. There needs to be a cap. Other than that, I am all for the Seniors having a beautiful CENTER. I'm behind it 100%, they deserve it!

2. How can the City of Lawndale best secure an acceptable standard of public safety?

The City of Lawndale's past practice of creating a standard of public safety by: Continuing with the neighborhood watch and Continuing Graffiti removal program. More parks and programs needed to keep kids active and healthy; Maintain fair and common sense code enforcement and strengthen an efficient working relationship with the public.

3. What are the advantages and disadvantages of having a city election in April of the even-numbered years? Do you favor continuing the practice?

I think to save money for Lawndale, it would be fruitful to have the municipal election with the other elections. It would also include more voters if done with state and national election. If we truly want to hear from the citizens of Lawndale, we should have the city election with the "Big" elections.
