I grew up the youngest of five children in a small, working class suburb. My dad worked in the steel plant until he put himself through college at the University of Oklahoma. He became a journalist and, later, a banker. My mom was a teacher, having accomplished the incredible task of graduating from college after having five children. My father was very proud of my mom's accomplishment. We all went to Mom's graduation.

Both of my parents had grown up in urban neighborhoods during the Depression. Their parents had encouraged in them a love of learning and a respect for education. They passed that on to me, along with a strong sense of right and wrong, respect for others, a desire to achieve, and a commitment to serve the public good.

I attended public schools and graduated with honors. I put myself through college with an Air Force ROTC Four-Year Scholarship, student loans, and part-time work. After graduation, I was commissioned into the United States Air Force as a second lieutenant. While on active duty, I obtained my MBA and traveled to 17 countries. My last assignment was as a recruiting officer for the college scholarship program at the University of Cincinnati.

After I married my husband, Paul Forshey, I received an honorable discharge from the Air Force and started my family. I attended the University of Cincinnati College of Law. While a student, I interned for the Hamilton County Prosecutor and Public Defender Commission. In 2005, I opened my own law firm, Webb & Pillich LLC, in Montgomery. I live in Montgomery with my husband, our daughter, Kayla, and our son, Tallin.

On active duty, I achieved many accomplishments and received many honors: Outstanding Unit Award (three times). Highest possible operational readiness rating. Best Combat Crew Communications Branch, USAF (two consecutive years). Outstanding History Award. First Local Area Network for USAF Europe. Officer of the Year at Tempelhof Central Airport, West Berlin. Company Grade Officer Association, vice president. Tripled Enrollment (as ROTC recruiting officer). Top Retention Rate in Ohio (as ROTC recruiting officer and instructor of freshmen cadets). Physical Fitness Award. Women In Military Service for America Memorial, Charter Member. Special Olympics Committee Leader, North Dakota. Air Force Commendation Medal (three times). Army of Occupation Medal. National Defense Service Medal. Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Medal. Service in Support of Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

Living in Hamilton County for the past 18 years, I have been involved in several organizations: Greater Sycamore Soccer Association, Board of Trustees, Coach. National Soccer Association for Youth Referee, Select and Recreational Levels. Girl Scouts Great Rivers Council. Coffee Please Runners. Clifton Track Club, program director. Friends-A-Foot Running Club, treasurer and run brunch coordinator. Linguini Group, founding member. Ault Park Independence Day Celebration, Chair. Hyde Park Neighborhood Council, Vice President. Kennedy Heights Montessori Center, Vice President for Fundraising (five years). JELC Parent Cooperative, President, Secretary.
