As a Third Ward Commissioner of six years, a brief resume is presented of accomplishments and activities during these years.
Jeannine has served the residents of Marple Township with integrity and dedication for 40 years as a resident and community volunteer. All her experiences, including the past six years as Third Ward Commissioner, have contributed to a sound background and understanding of municipal government. To date she has served as past President and currently as Vice President of the Board of Commissioners. She has been chairman of the Budget & Finance Committee all six years and supported several zero tax increase budgets. She worked to establish a successful method of collecting deliquent taxes and fees. Jeannine chaired the ten-year Comprehensive Plan and established a Marple Historic Commission to protect historic properties which are part of Marple's 325 year legacy. As a result of the Goodhill Center fire, she won approval to create an Ordinance Review Committee. The purpose of it is to be sure suggested new ordinances are followed through to approval, and to review and update old ordinances. She is committed to responding promptly to constituents and keeping them informed through two newsletters a year and special mailings when needed.
