Questions & Answers

1. What are your qualifications for office? (50 word limit)

My current occupation as an investment manager requires me to analyze a company's financial situation before investing client monies in these firms. Prior to my investment responsibilities, I was a commercial loan officer which also required analysis of a company's financial soundness. These same experiences will be useful as a member of the Madeira School board.

2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)

3. What is your position on amending the Ohio Constitution with regard to the funding of public schools? (150 word limit)?

Amending the Ohio Constitution is a step not to be taken lightly. More information is needed regarding the amendment before taking the step of amending the Constitution. The funding proposed in the amendment does not address where dollars will come from to finance this additioanl state contribution. Generally, schools like Madeira have not been on the receiving end of this type of state funding. Today, compared to similar districts, Madeira receives a below average contribution from the state. A part of state funding needs to be tied to a school district's performance, that is, educational results and fiscal responsibility.
