Questions & Answers

1. What are your qualifications for office? (50 word limit)

I have worked in local government since 1975 as an income tax administrator. In this position, I collect funds, handle budgets and audit accounts. Finance and audit have been the focus of my entire career. I was the acting administrator for Columbia Township from 1997-1998 and administrator of Crosby Township from 1998-2006. In both positions I gained valuable experience in the operations of township business.

2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)

My number one priority will be to keep our property taxes down. I will try to find other resources for funding capital projects and infrastructure improvements. Our property taxes in Columbia are one of the highest in all of Hamilton County. I believe we can maintain the quality of service we now enjoy and continue to improve in the future without raising property taxes. Budget cuts, and careful spending coupled with wise investments and aggressive grant searches will help achieve this goal.
