Questions & Answers

1. What are your qualifications for office? (50 word limit)

I have served as Clerk of Council for the City of Cheviot since January 1, 2006. In addition to these duties, I am the Branch Manager of CBS Technical Staffing in Florence, KY where I am responsible for overseeing a budget in excess of 3 million dollars.

2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)

We must get out in the business community and sell Cheviot as a great place for businesses of any size to set up shop. We have vacant properties which would make great office space, we are near a major Interstate, and we can offer incentives through our Community Reinvestment Area program that can help make it a lucrative business decision to relocate to and stay in our city. We also have one distinct advantage that many cities in our situation do not; a great community that employees of any business in our region could be proud to call home.

3. State three actions that you recommend to promote regional cooperation, and explain how you would implement each action? (150 word limit)

Cheviot City Council is working with Hamilton County on several different fronts, most notably through Project Impact, which has been helpful in beginning to address many of the issues our city faces. It is important for us to continue take advantage of opportunities such as these in the future so we can increase home ownership and keep businesses in Cheviot. I will work to solidify and improve our relationships with Cincinnati and Green Township as well by actively seeking out their elected officals to work together on issues that affect us all.
