Respect and communication

By Debbie Bellman

Candidate for Member Council; City of Wyoming

This information is provided by the candidate
I will ensure that all citizens are treated with respect at all times + that an air of civility exists between Council members, the City Administration, and Wyoming citizens, and that effective 2-way communication is in place.
I believe that City Council should be an approachable body, where people are encouraged to provide input and voice their opinions, and where everyone is treated with respect. I want to foster a spirit of cooperation and unity among the citizens of Wyoming by enhancing communication between the Council and the people at large. To accomplish this, if elected, I will work to set up a committee to study the best methods of communicating with citizens + this will include how Council communicates WITH the citizens, and how citizens can effectively communicate with the Council (in other words, 2-way communication). As a result of this effort, I plan to implement a system whereby citizens will be encouraged to provide input and ideas to help shape the future of our community. In addition, Council will communicate with the citizens regarding timely information about actions they are taking as well as major issues that are being discussed.
