1. What are your qualifications for office? (50 word limit)

Answer from Gwen McFarlin:

I am an elected Springfield Township Trustee. I have a strong business and management background. A proactive leader. I am an officer of the Talbert House Board, Serve on the Port of Authority Board of the Convention Center, and am involved in several other community boards.


2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)

Answer from Gwen McFarlin:

1.Meet and Greet neigbors in all areas of the township to discuss the Strategic Neighborhood Action Plan. Discuss with them five main areas: Economic Development, Crime prevention, Infrastructure/Capital Improvements. Housing Revitalization, and Service Delivery Enhancement.
2.Involve the media
3. Continue working with state and local policy makers to develop initiaves and continue to develop smart growth principles in the township.


3. State three actions that you recommend to promote regional cooperation, and explain how you would implement each action? (150 word limit)

Answer from Gwen McFarlin:

As the former chair person and now Vice Chair of the Planning Partnership I will continue developing relationships and partner with surrounding communties, local and state government, First Suburbs Consortium, local school districts, Center For Local Goverment and other regional systems to address opportunites challenges that are facing our region.
