1. What are your qualifications for office? (50 word limit)

Answer from Patricia Stern:

I have spent over 30 years of my career in cable television working with thousands of elected officials in over fifty communities, learning and listening to them teach me what makes great communities succussful. I have been in my current position 26 years and manage a national video award winning staff .

2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)

Answer from Patricia Stern:

With a seven million dollar a year budget we need to have a "Master Plan " for our Township, not just a land use plan. A group of citizens representing each neighborhood would work with a professional certified master community planner to come up with a blue print of what goals we need to acheive within the next several years. I will sit down with our Fire Chief and County Sheriff to make sure we wil have the staff/equipment needed to meet the needs of our aging population as well as the future needs of our families in order to...(Over word limit)

3. State three actions that you recommend to promote regional cooperation, and explain how you would implement each action? (150 word limit)

Answer from Patricia Stern:

As Exceutive Director of a 27 community regional council of governments I am keenly aware of the cost savings to communities who work together to cooperate on municipal services. First, on any Zoning issue that comes before us I would immediately notify communities that border the area so that residents could give imput to that issue even if they did not live in Sycamore Township. This type of zoning cooperation with Blue Ash, Symmes Twp., Deer Park, Silverton and Sharonville and Montgomery would allow our Township residents with the same type of participation in those communities zoning issues that effect our residents. I would ask Mongomery, Symmes, Deer Park, Silverton if they would be interested in forming a joint business association to reward small and large bunsinesses in our region to help promote our resturants and retailers.
