Answer from Steven "Steve" Moore:

I have proven abilities working with a diverse workforce from many cultures and backgrounds from around the world--this will be useful in our incredibly diverse district.

2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)

Answer from Bob Maine:

I plan to hold the adminstration accountable for meeting the goals of AYP. This will ensure that we providing adequate education to ALL of our children and will also improve the status of the "label" that is placed on this district as a result of state test scores. Additionally, I will ensure fiscal respnsibility in the passage of any new levies related to the proposed new middle/high schools, as well as any potential future operating levies

Answer from Carol Muntz:

First and foremost, I will listen to the concerns of my constituents in order to prioritize such issues as present themselves. I will carefully review the budget in order to familiarize myself with how and where our money is being spent. Building on my observations at previous school board meetings, I will study Princeton's performance both on state atandards and community standards to learn where our strengths and weaknesses lie. Working with other school board members, I pledge to do my best to make Princeton School District continue to be a leader in education.

3. What is your position on amending the Ohio Constitution with regard to the funding of public schools? (150 word limit)?

Answer from Steven "Steve" Moore:

Princeton school's income will be significantly, and unfairly reduced, if reasonable solutions are not found to the "inventory/equiptment" tax law change. This tax law change has/will shift tax dollars away from our schools and add tax revenue to other parts of the state budget. This must be addressed.

I believe some sort of legislative or constitutional change must occur to make sure we have fair and adequate funding for our Ohio, and therefore, Princeton schools, and will support a reasonable approach to accomplish this.

Answer from Carol Muntz:

I am not in favor of amending the Ohio Constitution with regard to the funding of public schools as the current constitution already contains language pursuant to education. The Legislature needs to address issues of school funding and education.

Answer from Bob Maine:

We absolutely, positively, MUST change the way we fund our schools in Ohio. Not only has it been ruled unconstitutional by the Ohio Supreme Court, but more importantly it leads to a cycle of non productive work on the local front. We get into the cycle of local school levies every 4-5 years and if they don't pass, then we get into the "cut bussing, pay for sports" etc". This simply MUST change.
