A free Non-Polluting Jitney Bus that visits most of the places residents want to go helps solve most of these problems
Everyone agrees we have too much traffic in Town, more and more challenges looking for places to park, cars driving too fast,air pollution at dangerous levels throughout Westchester, to say nothing about the very high price we are paying for fuel these days. We can take the initiative here in Mamaroneck by introducing a Non-Polluting small Jitney Bus that could run around Town, including The Villages of Larchmont and Mamaroneck, picking up and dropping off passengers at places like the Shopping
Centers in Larchmont and Mamaroneck Avenue, the Libraries, the Banks, the Post Offices, Harbor Island and Flint Parks, The Schools, The Ice Rink / Pool Complex and other popular locations in Town. To be successful, it should run on a regular published schedule, have sufficient convenient stops and be free to all that want to ride it.
