Our city has been, and continues to be, mismanaged by an incompetent administration abetted by a faltering Common Council
They have not been up front with average citizens, creating a palpable malaise regarding their expectations regarding quality of life issues An effective democracy is reliant on timely and accurate exchange of information. Sunshine is the best disinfectant: Provide for:
Frequent, regular, and pre-announced Council meetings. All on T.V.
Streamlined agenda format.. include summary for important items
Generally understood agreement on basic rules of the meeting(s)
Presentations by applicants, not commissioners, etc.
Civil back-and-forth discussion among Council, presenters, etc.
Improved audio on both sides of the rail. Portable mikes save time and
minimize posturing.

A City Hall locus for Common Council Offices, conference, communication amenities Commissioners, departments, prepare and should furnish regular reports in easily understood format. Citizens should have direct access to Departments w/o going through the Mayor's Office filter.
