Candidate for
Governing Board Member; Denair Unified School District

I am interested in being a board member for the Denair School District. My wife's family has resided in Denair since the early 1900's; her great grandfather was one of the town's founding fathers. I currently have fourteen family members living in Denair, with four of them enrolled in Denair schools. I am a graduate of CSUS and my wife is a college professor. My first child just arrived, and I look forward to watching her develop and aspire within the Denair setting.

For the past few years I have served as liaison between my agency and various local schools. This work has given me insight into the structure and workings of our public school system. We need to take advantage of the additional revenue created by the influx of new homes and families to Denair. This should open up more options to our teachers and students (for example, more electives at the secondary level and more competitive salaries). I am anxious to be part of a motivated team looking toward the future to provide the best academic setting for our children.
