Candidate for
Director; Modesto Irrigation District; Division 1

Dear Friend,

It has been an honor serving as your MID Director these past years and I am asking that you retain me as Director in Division 1. During my years of service, I have always voted to maintain reasonable rates for water and electricity.

I have 36 years of management experience with the Waterford and Modesto Irrigation Districts. My farming experience includes dairy, growing grapes, and, since 1955, raising almonds on our family farm near Waterford.

It is important to have someone represent you that has hands-on experience within MID and also as a farmer and consumer. I truly believe that MID is where the land owns the water and the power. That makes YOU the owner of MID and the District should be operated for YOUR benefit.

Over the years, I have been a very active member of our community. Including such things as: o Waterford Lions Club: Past President o Waterford Chamber of Commerce: Past President o Stanislaus County Farm Bureau o Association of California Water Agencies o California Municipal Utility Association o Blue Diamond Growers o 4-H Club Project Leader o Waterford Historical Society o Waterford Library Building Committee: Treasurer o Grand Marshall of Waterford's Western Heritage Day o Coached Various Youth Softball Teams o Active member of local Christian church

As your Director, I pledge to serve you by: Protecting district water rights; providing a good supply of irrigation water at affordable rates; and preserving electricity costs that among the lowest in the state.
