Born in Hannibal, Missouri I grew up in Mark Twain's boyhood home with the midwestern values. My earned a BA in Macro Economics, an MBA and I studied international economies as a Rotary International Foundation Fellow in Australia where I met my wife. 34-year residents, we raised our son and daughter in San Carlos where I own a marketing business while Wilma teaches algebra and calculus at Sequoia High School.

I came to California with Coca-Cola USA responsible for product promotion on several brands, including Coke, within the 13 western states. We liked San Carlos so well I left Coca-Cola and established Creative Marketing Services specializing in market development for overseas firms.

Throughout our years in San Carlos I have been active in the community, elected to the San Carlos City Council I also served as Commissioner for both our fire service and the South Bay Systems Authority. Deeply involved in education I was elected President of the School Board and am a founding director of San Carlos Educational Foundation. I chaired Sequoia District's most important Central Committee and helped bring six students from Kosovo during their civil war. At night school I tutored refugees and taught English in our county jail.

For several years I was a youth soccer referee and am now assembling equipment to support two teams in our sister city in Nicaragua. For the past several years I have served as a mediator for the California Superior Court. All in all, an unmatched record of unpaid community service which gives me by far the most experience and the best qualifications to serve as your representative on the San Carlos City Council.
