• Hiring new police officers and firefighters.
• Establishing a new ambulance service for non-emergency medical services.
• Building a new Central Fire Station and state-of-the-art fire training facility.
• Creating a Gang Task Force in cooperation with the Sheriff's Department.
• Funding six new search and rescue dogs.

• 4 years of balanced budgets and 2 years of budget surpluses.
• No reductions in police, fire, or library services during difficult financial times.
