1. How would you determine that the schools are using federal, state and local funds wisely and fairly and how would you report your findings to the community?

Answer from Chuck Farnham:

By consulting the people who need the funds most, the teachers. As for reporting, the districts website should be the portal to the community along with town style meetings.

Answer from Adam A Zerwick:

I would review the financial data that is provided by the district office. This data should be available to the community at each school board meeting.

2. Are the schools offering instruction appropriate to the diverse educational abilities of all the students?

Answer from Chuck Farnham:

The district needs a broader range of opportunities, more sports, music and the arts.

Answer from Adam A Zerwick:

Unfortunately I don't have experience regarding the appropriate instruction for a diverse student population. If elected I plan to become better acquainted with the school community and review current programs that address the needs of the students.

3. Where do you want the District to be five years from now? What steps should the District take to get there?

Answer from Chuck Farnham:

This district is of a size that it will grow to multiple campus sites over the next decade. The next 5 years should provide the plans and implementation for that growth.

Answer from Adam A Zerwick:

In five years I would like the district to be financially secure while moving closer to becoming a California distinguished school. In order to accomplish these goals the district should continue to offer and evaluate programs which will improve student achievement.
