2.)Quality Programs + I am committed to offering the best programs available to our students. We ARE the best choice for college and will only strengthen this fact.
3.)Access + Of the students that pursue college in the Salinas Valley, half will attend Hartnell College. I'd like to grow that statistic and reach out to those that may have never considered college or are unfamiliar with it.
4.)Technology + expand on line course offering and use of the most modern equipment, techniques and ideas in the classroom and on campus.
5.)

WHY IS STEVE RUNNING?

Steve is a HUGE supporter of Community College Education, having attended community college classes at several California institutions. He believes whole heartedly in universal access to classes and programs and the opportunity that the programs at Hartnell present out community with.

Steve decided to run in 2003 to give back to his community. He credits several local leaders for his decision to run for Trustee and get involved. Supporters that helped make his decision include former Salinas City Council Woman, Jan Collins, Former Hartnell Trustees Darleen Dunham, Joey Lasnik and community member, Fran McFadden. Steve's commitment to Hartnell and the community we live in is as strong as ever.

"Now, more than ever, Hartnell will need strong leadership and enthusiastic support to lead the region in higher education. I am committed to this task"
