My pimary concern is that a high quality education be provided to all students in literacy, technology, algebra, heath and the arts. Eliminate the drop-out student rate, increase collaboration with the elementary schools, provide safe school for students, staff, community, and have effective parent involvement. We also need to educate students and parents to combat the obesity crisis with our young and teen students. The schools are doing all they can, but we must extend it the the parents by educating them about the health issues facing our students and promote healthy foods. I strongly beleive that all students have the capability of learning and we must focus on those that are "at-risk" so that they too can be repected members of our society, and not become a "statistic." I want to work dilegently and I am committed to working in bringing back our music program at all high schools and middle schools. I have 28 years of experience in the educational field and I know I am a well qualified candidate for the Trustee position. I have a lot to offer and will work with the Board and feeder districts to promote the best education possible. Our students deserve nothing less.
