Dear Neighbors:

My family arrived in Whittier in 1914 and has remained here. My wife of over forty years and I attended Whittier area schools. I attended Longfellow Elementary School, Dexter Intermediate School,Whittier High School (64), UCLA (BA), Southwestern Universtiy School of Law (JD), Whittier College (Teaching Credential).

Following graduation from UCLA I was proud to serve as an Infantry Rifleman in Vietnam (69-70)

My wife attended Ben Franklin Elementary School, Dexter Intermediate School, and Whittier High School.

Our family is a blessing in my life. Our kids and grandchild have attended or are attending Whittier Schools.

Our son attended Pioneer High School and Whittier College (BA) and is a teacher in Whittier.

Our daughter attended California High School and California State University at Long Beach (BA). She is in business in the Whittier area

Our grandson attends middle school in east Whittier, and will be attending California High School.

I was taught at an early age the obligation of service to my country and community. To meet this obligation, my community service of over thirty years has focused on the needs of our Whittier Youth.

My community serice has extended to the YMCA, PTA, Whittier Area Youth Soccer, Lambert Little League, and the Whittier County Community Coordinating Council

I served eighteen years as a Trustee in the South Whittier Elementary School District.

I am a school teacher in the Whittier City School District, at the same Elementary School where I attended kindergarten through sixth grade.

It has been my honor to have been of service to our Whittir Youth through my teaching and community activities with my neighbors over the years.

I ask for your vote on November 6th,so that we can continue our journey in academic and artisic excellence in the Whitter Union High School District.
