Terry is VERY qualified to be your representative on the TUSD School Board
She has both a bachelor's and a master's degree in Occupational Therapy, and has been a university instructor. She has expertise about education AND health and mental health issues, as well as disabled and gifted education concerns.

She comes from a family of teachers: Mom, Aunt, Grandmother, and was a college instructor herself.

She has been a member of the Torrance community for 20 years, and married 25 yrs to psychiatrist Dr. Mark.

She is invested in making Torrance schools the best that they can be--she knows the schools, the students, the teachers, the staff, and the history of the past 15 years.

She has logged 10,000 hours of volunteer time in schools, PTAs, TUSD district committees, etc., and continues her work to this day. She belongs to every PTA in town, will chair the College Fair at TUSD for her third year, and serves as Recording Secretary for Torrance Council of PTAs.

She was always actively involved in educations of two sons, both away at college now!

She has volunteered in and around Torrance schools since 1992, in PTA and school-based programs in Art, Enrichment, GATE, Health, Library, Literacy, Prevention, and Safety.

PTAs have honored Terry with 3 Honorary Service Awards over her 15 years of volunteer involvements; Yukon ES, Magruder MS, Torrance Council of PTAs.
