My husband, Mark, and I are the proud parents of two sons, Ari and Jack. Ari is in 7th grade at Manhattan Beach Middle School. Jack is a fifth grader at Robinson Elementary. We love living in Manhattan Beach because of its great schools, small town atmosphere, and casual beach lifestyle. My husband has done the typical "dad" things in Manhattan Beach: basketball coach, soccer referee, Adventure Guides, and Boy Scouts. Before I joined the School Board in 2003, I was a School Site Council President,PTSA Vice President, and Cultural Arts Chair at my sons' elementary school.

Prior to raising my children, I was the original photo editor at the monthly magazine, Wired. I was also the photo editor for WGBH Public Television in Boston, Massachusetts. I am originally from a small town in Ohio and graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications, and minors in French and Political Science.

Serving on the Manhattan Beach Unified School Board has been the most challenging and rewarding experience of my life. My connection to this community has deepened, and my pride in our District has grown since I was elected four years ago. Through campaigning, I have reaffirmed my commitment to the task at hand and am ready to tackle the next four years with experience, intelligence, and enthusiasm.
